Oshkosh homeowners facing a new special assessment this year may catch a break.
The Common Council will vote tonight on whether to delay those initial bills by one year.
City Manager Mark Rohloff says they know a lot of people are in difficult financial situations right now. He says it would be a temporary step to help. Property owners would have to start paying their bill in 2021, instead of 2020.
The waiver would only cover assessments for street projects done last year. Those already making payments on their special assessments will still have to do so.
