A Green Bay church organized a drive-up food pantry to help feed families, while protecting volunteers.
Central Church helped with one of 80 pop-up sites organized by Ruby’s Pantry. The group distributes extra food from distributors, manufacturers and producers.
Central Church Pastor Aaron Schaut says people drove up, and volunteers filled their trunk with supplies. He says they usually serve about 250 families, but they had enough food for 400, because of the increased need.
There were also some different items this time, like fruits, bacon, and chicken.
