Local agencies are looking for ways to help people in the Latino community impacted by the coronavirus.
Maria Plascencia is the executive assistant of Casa Alba Melanie in Green Bay. She says dozens of the families they serve don’t have work, health care or basic needs.
She says many of the people they help work at restaurants that are currently closed. She believes some are afraid, because they can’t pay their rent and other bills.
While some will be getting stimulus checks, undocumented immigrants won’t.
She says they’re using social media and their website to connect people to services.
