The state is trying to trace every case of coronavirus, and Governor Evers is calling for more funding to add more.
He’s including it, along with more money for local health departments, in his series of proposals to deal with the pandemic.
Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm says they’ll use contact tracing to keep a close eye on the impact of Tuesday’s in-person election. She says the polls were a version of a mass gathering.
Palm says they work with new positive cases to find out where they’ve been, and the people they’ve been in contact with, to try to prevent outbreaks. She says there are reports in other places where one person at a party or mass gathering caused an outbreak.
