Many voters in Green Bay faced long waits of at least two or three hours.
The city only opened two polling locations at Green Bay’s East and West high schools. Lines of people, standing about six feet apart, stretched around both buildings.
Annete Parins wasn’t concerned about voting during a pandemic. She believes even if they would’ve delayed the vote, the impact of coronavirus probably would’ve been the same.
Terry Hetzel had issues with holding an election during a pandemic, and they weren’t only about health. She thinks people decided to stay home, instead of risk their health, and she’s concerned that could skew the election.
The City of Green Bay turned down help from the Wisconsin National Guard.
The Republican Party of Brown County is criticizing Mayor Eric Genrich, saying Green Bay “fell short,” leaving long lines and frustrated voters.
