A poll found the vast majority in Wisconsin agree with the state’s decision to shut down schools and businesses, and limit public gatherings.
The Marquette Law School says 86 percent support the moves, and 10 percent think it’s an overreaction.
Poll Director Charles Franklin says 79 percent support the federal stimulus payments that will be going out to people across the country.
Nine percent report losing their job, or being laid off, because of the pandemic. Another 21 percent say that happened to someone in their family. Sixty-eight percent of families haven’t had to deal with job loss.
