A nonprofit is setting up a special fund to help people dealing with financial problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
All year long, the Community Benefit Tree works with people struggling because of medical bills and other issues.
Executive Director Heidi Frederickson says they started a Cure from Despair COVID-19 fund. She says some have lost their jobs, or are self-employed and don’t have any income.
She says people can get short-term help for basic needs like rent, mortgage payments, groceries, or gas.
