Some students at Lawrence University are joining a tutoring program for children.
Education students at UW-Oshkosh and St. Norbert College already started working with kids through an online video app.
Community Engagement Director Kristi Hill says more than 50 Lawrence students are going through training, so they can start Monday. She says they don’t have to be future teachers to help.
Hill says some students just want to be able to pitch in during the pandemic.
Several other colleges and universities also got on board. More than 600 families signed up for the tutoring.
