Many people are trying to sort through the process of applying for unemployment, and a state help line is very busy.
Fox Valley Workforce Development Board CEO Anthony Snyder recommends people have all of their paperwork, and be patient. He says it’s best for people to just apply, even if they have questions about their eligibility.
Snyder says there’s some uncertainty, with money apparently coming from the federal economic stimulus package.
Snyder says process of filing for unemployment, and searching for work, is typically done face-to-face. But he says the need for social distancing is proving to be a challenge.
