The UW-Oshkosh Foundation is trying to raise money for students impacted by coronavirus.
Chancellor Andrew Leavitt says an alum is offering a $50,000 matching grant to start the Titans Rise campaign.
He points out students not only have to adjust to leaving campus, and switching to online classes, but many lost their jobs. He says some were working on campus, and others were at businesses that are currently closed.
The foundation has already received about 50 more donations, totaling $7,000. Leavitt says the money will help support critical programs, scholarships, and emergency funds.
Students can ask for money through the financial aid office.
