The City of Green Bay is filing a federal lawsuit to try to stop the April 7th election.
The city clerk is asking for a restraining order to block any in-person voting. The city also wants to extend voter registration to May 1st, and to give communities until June 2nd to report their results.
Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich has called for an all mail-in absentee ballot election.
Governor Evers has said he doesn’t have the authority to change the election date.
