Families can start applying today, if they want to change school districts through the state’s open enrollment system.
Appleton Chief Financial Officer Greg Hartjes says they have room at all of their high schools and middle schools. He says they can’t take more students at Berry, Highlands and Huntley elementaries because of capacity issues.
In Oshkosh, Deputy Superintendent David Gunlach says they’ll accept all students for their regular education program. He says they try to accommodate everyone, but depending on class sizes, they might not get their first choice of schools.
The open enrollment period runs through the end of April.
