A developer might build a mixed-use project on the former Blue Ramp and Conway Hotel sites in downtown Appleton.
Community Development Director Karen Harkness says Merge Urban Development Group wants to study the possibilities by agreeing to a planning option with the city. She says that would give the firm from March until the end of the year to potentially put together a proposal.
Harkness says the project could include space for retail and housing.
Merge is also working on plans for three buildings along Marion Road in downtown Oshkosh.
