Planners have a bigger vision for the Sawdust District in Oshkosh.
The city is working on in-depth plans that cover a larger area, south of the Fox River.
Community Development Director Allen Davis says they’re looking to develop the old industrial sites along Main Street, from Ninth Avenue to South Park Avenue. He says so far, they’ve been focusing on the area around 9th Avenue, along the Fox River.
He expects some short-term projects could be finished in five years, but it might take 20 years to realize the entire vision.
The city is holding a community open house on the plans on January 29th.
