A Republican U.S. Senator doesn’t think the Senate should spend time searching for new evidence in the impeachment trial of President Trump.
Sen. Ron Johnson of Oshkosh was on Fresh Take on WHBY before the trial got underway today. He says he’s not open to looking at other accusations and vetting them. He believes that’s what House Democrats want them to do.
Johnson has called the impeachment case “pretty thin.”
Senators will act as jurors, and decide whether to remove President Trump from office.
