Norovirus is causing concerns at two schools in the area.
Syble Hopp School in De Pere is closed, and parents at Merrill Elementary School in Oshkosh are getting letters, warning about the illness.
Amy Winninghoff of the Winnebago County Health Department says they track student absences and look for trends. If necessary, they’ll investigate and notify parents.
She says at one point, about nine percent of Merrill students were out sick. She says the figure is now about five percent, and they want it to keep going down.
Norovirus is a stomach bug.
