Evanescence have unveiled the video for their recently released cover of the Fleetwood Mac classic “The Chain”.
The video features footage from the video game Gears of War 5. The song features on the official soundtrack for the game.
Interestingly, the closing shot of the video is drummer Will Hunt’s drums set ablaze, which could be a reference to the rioting and subsequent burning of his drums that prevented the band from playing their set at Knotfest in Mexico this past December.
“The Chain” marks Evanescence’s first new music in 8 years. According to Rolling Stone, they are currently at work on new music that may be released in 2020.
