Breaking Benjamin are set to release their acoustic Album Aurora on January 24th. When Kaytie spoke with frontman Ben Burnley backstage at Rock USA last year, he told her that there would be a number of guest spots on that album. One of the guests he mentioned was Spencer Chamberlain of Underoath lending his vocals to the song “Red Cold River”.
“Lacey (Sturm/ formerly Flyleaf) and I did a song we have called ‘Dear Agony’. And Spencer (Chamberlain/ Underoath) and I did ‘Red Cold River’. And Adam (Gontier/ Saint Asonia/ formerly Three Days Grace) and I did ‘Dance with the Devil’ and Mike (Barnes/ Red) did ‘Failure’.”
When asked what made Burnley pick those artist and those songs, he said:
“Cause like I am a fan and a friend of all of them. And they’re singers that I really like, ya know. And to hear them like sing a song that I wrote, it’s really surreal. It’s really cool to hear their voice on it.”
Now, thanks to an Instagram post, we know that we’ll finally get to hear that song on Friday, January 10th! However… if you pre-order the album now, you’ll get an instant download!
Breaking Benjamin are set to take the stage with Korn and Bones UK at Razor Edgefest on February 9th at The Resch Center. Get your tickets HERE and listen to Cutter all month long during the Loud Ride from 5P-6P for your chance to win a pair of tickets!
