The Village of Howard is issuing an apology for not lowering one of its flags, in honor of former Oneida Chair Rick Hill.
Governor Evers ordered flags to fly at half-staff last week, in honor of Hill.
Howard officials say the email notice from the governor’s office went into a spam folder of the village worker in charge of the flag, and he never saw it. Flags at other Howard municipal buildings were lowered in Hill’s honor.
