Contamination issues might increase the cost for a major downtown Oshkosh redevelopment project.
The Merge company wants to build a mixed-used development featuring condos, apartments, townhouses, and the new Oshkosh Food Co-op. The site spreads across three properties, along Marion Road.
Oshkosh Community Development Director Allen Davis says any cleanup work could also drive up the amount of the city’s TIF payments because they’re based on the cost of the project.
The city is extending the deadline for Merge to close on the downtown properties, to the end of March.
