A former owner of two used car dealerships in northeast Wisconsin is facing 15 federal fraud charges.
Thirty-seven-year-old John Solberg of Suamico is in the Brown County jail. He’s accused of reaching out to people on Craigslist, offering to sell their cars, and then refusing to pay the owners.
Investigators say they found hundreds of possible fraud victims in several states.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Department shut down Standard Pre-Owned in Suamico in May. Investigators also closed Solberg’s second location, near I-41 in Kaukauna.
