For the last two months you have been hearing Amy Lee’s haunting yet addictive voice on a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” on the commercial for the new XBOX One game Gears 5. The game is the 5th installment in the popular video game series Gears of War.
The full song will be released as a digital single of Friday. Amy Lee of Evanescence said on Twitter about the song:
“I’m proud to lend my voice to this re-imagining of ‘The Chain’ for ‘Gears 5’, I was drawn to the story of Kait overcoming fear and standing up to fight. Her story of breaking out with her own voice is most definitely one I relate to!”
