A fire at a mechanic’s garage on Green Bay’s west side destroyed a car and a tractor causing $45,000 in damage.
Officials say a vehicle exploded in a two-stall garage on the 300 block of 10th Street just before 5 p.m. yesterday.
The garage wasn’t attached to any other building.
The owner says he was welding and a spark caught some material on fire.
He tried to put it out himself with a fire extinguisher.
No one was hurt.
