Today, Disney entered the streaming game with launch of their long anticipated service Disney+.
Disney+ will eventually come to offer all the of the properties that Disney currently owns, but here is a running list of everything they are going to have at launch, in case you’re planning on doing some binging this week.
Disney’s two main attractions for Disney+, beyond their own library and films currently kept in the vault, are Marvel and Star Wars. Surpisingly, only seven films are currently available from Marvel. These include:
Ant-Man (2015)
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
Captain Marvel (2019)
Doctor Strange (2016)
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2 (2017)
Iron Man (2008)
Iron Man 2 (2010)
Iron Man 3 (2013)
The Avengers (2012)
Thor (2011)
Thor: The Dark World (2013)
We expect more to be added in the near future. A number of animated Marvel shows are available, as well.
All of the Star Wars franchise is available, with the exception of Solo: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi which are both currently still streaming on Netflix. Most of Disney’s entire animated library is currently available, such as fan favorites The Lion King and Aladdin. Disney will also be rolling out new properties and series. Currently available is the new Star Wars series The Mandalorian.
Disney+ is currently priced at $6.99 a month. There is also a $12.99/month option that pairs the service with Hulu and ESPN+. You can sign up HERE.
