A De Pere couple escapes a house fire early this morning.
A neighbor knocking on the door and smoke alarms going off helped alert them.
The assistant fire chief says there was a large fire on the outside when they got there around 1 a.m. and flames inside as well.
Several firefighters were overcome by heat but are alright.
The home is on the corner of Talbot Avenue and Ridgeway Boulevard.
