A local treatment center is helping kids struggling with addiction by using art, music, and other non-traditional therapies.
The state recently approved a long-term residential program at Libertas Green Bay.
Director Elaine Doxtator thinks the longer they can house kids the more success they have. She says it’s about bringing out what’s bothering the children, and figuring out how they can work on that at home.
About 100 kids between 11 to 18 years old seek help at the center every year.
