Mile of Music artists can get free dental work done while they’re in Appleton, along with screenings for hearing and skin cancer.
It’s part of the Artist Care program that’s been in place since the third festival.
Dr. Rick Romenesko, Sr. of Romenesko Dentistry says they’ve been seeing more people every year. He says five dentists clear their schedules for five days.
In the first few days, he says they typically do cleanings for about 40 artists a day. Some of the artists come back for follow-up work, and they’ll stay in Appleton until Monday or Tuesday for appointments.
The artists can also make appointments for massage therapy and physical therapy, through the program.
