Available August 10th nationwide and all summer during Slipknot’s Knotfest Roadshow stops Slipknot have their own whiskey. The name Number 9 Iowa Whiskey is obviously a reference to the amount of numbered members of the metal band. It comes from the Iowa based Cedar Ridge Distillery . The Whiskey is 90 proof and will cost $40. There is also the No. 9 Reserve Iowa Whiskey which is 99 proof and will cost $70.
Shawn “Clown” Crahan said:
“Slipknot and Cedar Ridge Distillery — two groups of people born and raised in Iowa, and committed to quality and hard work. We collaborated on No. 9 Whiskey, which in addition to Iowa corn, gets some extra spice from its rye content. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.”
The Knotfest Road Show, which also features Volbeat, will be in Tinley Park, IL on August 11th.
Slipknot’s new album We Are Not Your Kind will be released August 9th and features the song “Unsainted”
