APPLETON, Wis. — The completion of both the city of Appleton’s annual audit and budget are behind schedule.
Mayor Jake Woodford says the transition to a new finance director caused them to miss the state deadline for filing a financial audit………
Woodford adds that he is also not ready to release his proposed 2027 budget……….
Woodford says the transition to new finance director Jennifer Messerschmidt was hampered by the use of old technology and systems to do previous budgets and audits.
