You can make fun of Nickelback all you want, but look who’s back in the number one spot with the most-played rock song last week! Featuring Motley Crue guitarist John 5, the song “Rattle The Cage” puts the hated Canadian band back on top. Our only debut this week comes from Dead Poet Society, who recently announced a new album due out this fall. Their latest jam is called “Cold.”
In the nineties, all genres ended up mixing together for a Nu-Metal and industrial offshoot. At the head of that mix was the band Orgy who made it big with their rocked up cover of the 80s song “Blue Monday.” After years of fighting it out the band went on hiatus and returned a few years later after frontman Jay Gordon brought it back with a new lineup. Here in 2026, they have spent time opening for Rob Zombie and Marylin Manson, and now they have new music to get out there too. Jay Gordon joins us this week via Cutter’s Rockcast.
