Dogstar, the band Keanu Reeves plays bass in have given us a new song with a distinctly different sound from their releases in the 90s. Drummer Rob Mailhouse said this of the track.
“This is the first track we’re releasing from the album, and our title track, too. Our brilliant management said this one has to be the first track, and I was surprised at first. But “All In Now” just whacks you in the head. Talk about a live song. The whole album might not hit as hard as this song, but somehow it sets up the energy at the heart of the whole thing. Keanu came up with the title for that song too, and it sort of summed up where and who we are as a band today. It just feels true to us. We’re leaning in, and we are going to keep going.”
Keanu follows up with this statement.
“And this is a good song to lean into. So, we really are all in now.”
Dogstar have also announced a tour surrounding the release of their album All In Now which will be released on May 29th. The tour takes them across the country and stops in Madison at The Sylvee on August 29th. The band is very excited to get out on the road and to play their new stuff, Keanu reeves who plays bass says this on the future of the band.
“Personally, I loved it all. For me, the attitude was like, “Let’s work hard and let’s GO.” And we really enjoy the variety of songs here–although one way or another, they all do kind of rock.”
