FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Fond du Lac police are investigating an alleged swatting incident.
Officers were called to the area of Maple Avenue around 3:10 p.m. Tuesday on the report of a man with a gun who was walking on the sidewalk.
Nearby Winnebago Lutheran Academy was placed in a lockdown.
Officers found the man but discovered that he did not have a gun.
Police say his sister, who is in Texas, made the report to get him in trouble.
No further details were released.
