GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay school board is considering new measures that would keep backpacks out of high school classrooms.
Earlier this year, the board voted to require clear bags in schools following a weapons incident at Preble High School.
The new policy would require students to keep their bags in lockers or in classroom coveys during classtime.
Student representative Hana Song believes that will not keep weapons out of schools…………
Board trustee Alex Mineau says the same policy has been very successful at Green Bay middle schools………
The school board has tabled the measure until later in the school year.
