GREEN BAY, WI — The Diocese of Green Bay sends words of sympathy and support to a Minneapolis church and school where a gunman fired into the church were students were holding a first week of school mass.
Two children were killed and 17 others were injured.
In a written statement, Green Bay Bishop David Ricken says in part: “…we are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the shootings at Annunciation Catholic Church and School in Minneapolis…Please join with me in offering prayers for the victims, their families and all those who were killed and injured in this senseless act of violence.”
The shooter later took his own life.
