What a proud time to be an American. According to a new study, the United States swears more than any other country. We did it, guys.
Australian researchers analyzed over a quarter of a million webpages and 1.7 billion words and found that Americans swear on the internet, on average of 1 per every 3,000 words. While that may seem like it isn’t a lot, think about how many “non-swearing” websites are actually out there running authentic businesses and news articles.
Coming in 2nd was the U.K. with 1 swear word per 4,200 words.
