Chevelle have released the video for their latest single ‘Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1) and it is moody! This black and white video has shades of The Lighthouse and is quite grim with the final shot being that of Pete Loeffler hanging upside down like a prized fish and brother Sam Loeffler slitting his throat.
Quite the uplifting video! This song is the first single off a yet to be named album that will have ten tracks total and be released at some point in August. Pete had this to say in an interview about the direction of the new album.
We’re always skewing towards heavy. [But] these [last] two songs that we’ve been working on right now are definitely different from everything we did, although ‘Niratias‘, our last album, I think was a really important snapshot of what we’ve been learning about writing and about music and stuff. This one definitely sounds different than just rock music, definitely different.”
This album is also self produced by Chevelle, a move they said was inspired by their last producer. Chevelle will be on the road with Asking Alexandria and Dead Poet Society making a stop in Milwaukee on September 11th.
