At long last we have the details of the latest Three Days Grace album which is titled Alienation and will be out on August 22nd. Along with the album announce Three Days Grace has given us another track showcasing the unique double vocal attack with the return of Adam Gontier. The song ‘Apologies’ details the life of an addict struggling to find the strength to get back to the life they had as well as the lack of love and support from the people around them. As drummer Neil Sanderson says, ‘Apologies’ is lyrically a very heavy song.
‘This song’s a mirror for anyone who feels like they’re too far gone to be loved. How it hurts more knowing someone did love you—just not enough to save you from yourself. Apologies don’t rewind time.’
The countdown is now on to August 22nd when Alienation will be released. Neil Sanderson describes the album, the first which will have Adam Gontier on vocals since the Transit Of Venus album which came out in 2012.
“Alienation is a journey through inner collapse and outward defiance—The songs reflect isolation as a condition of existence, not just circumstance. Some of what we write about – anxiety, addiction, heartbreak, disconnect, are often a different wave of the same storm. And yet, buried in all the wreckage is something human—still reaching out.”
While 3DG will be on the road, hitting all major music festivals this summer, and on the road with Breaking Benjamin, there is only one Wisconsin date and that is Rock Fest in Cadott.
