The world online has had it’s fair, and for the most part justified, critique of the culture and content, which happens to be the subject matter of the latest track from Starset. Which continues the trend of songs lamenting the state of modern life. ‘Brave New World’ took on the collective mind set to destroy people’s lives, ‘Degenerate’ takes on the hedonistic way people are living their lives, with no care or concern for the future. And now ‘TokSik’ slams the worlds obsession with our silicone devices and being the main characters in a world full of people. This album thus far has proved to be the most socially active and the most based in our universe work Starset has yet released.
Dustin Bates said this about the track to give a better view of the themes and inspirations.
‘The online world has been toxic for some time, the trolls are dug in and are looking for any small reason to attack. But what happens when the toxicity begins to ooze out of the phone and into the real world? STAY TUNED.’
We still await an official announcement for when the album will drop but keep your eyes on the New Release Calendar to get all the details as soon as we have them!
