A lot of crazy stuff went down at last week’s D23 summit. Avatar 3, Moana 2, Frozen 3 and whole bunch of other trailers, but the one that stood out the most to this humble writer was the announcement of Tron: Ares and the accompanying soundtrack.
You’re going to get what you deserve.

The biggest takeaway from that announcement is that it’s Nine Inch Nails and not Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross creating the soundtrack but actual Nine Inch Nails, which for those keeping score at home is Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross but in band form. There have been rumblings of a new Nine Inch Nails record coming soon and this soundtrack announcement seems to be the spark to light the flame of new material from the industrial giants. Ross had said earlier about where they were at in the writing process this.
“I do feel excited about starting on the next record. I think we’re in a place now where we kind of have an idea.”
How exciting! And right near the 30th anniversary of the infamous Woodstock ’94 mud-fest.
