Highly Suspect have been teasing new music for what feels like years but today we finally get our first taste of the new rock Highly Suspect has created. Lead singer Johnny Stevens had been dropping hints and “complaints” about past HS music on his X that he has since deleted. It’s a bluesy epic that heavily features guitar! Which is impressive for Highly Suspect as they hit number one with ’16’ a few years ago which was a song that had no guitar in it at all. Terrible Johnny describes the song below.
“If my life is a book, then this album is the first chapter that truly addresses the central conflict. The recognition of an ego, the problems its caused – and the birth of its death. “As Above, So Below.” If I’m being real, I hit rock bottom again. After another close call with death, I feel wide awake. I don’t know how the book ends yet, but I’m very engaged in the plot now. I’d rather it not end at all.”
Highly Suspect will make a short tour in July with the closest date being in Chicago on July 26th at The Outset.

The new album, As Above, So Below is due out on July 19th.
