Did it snow 18″ last night? Yes. Is it still spring? Yes. Will the new Better Lovers track melt away the snow and warm our frigid hearts and propel us into a fruitful and resilient life, full of all our hopes and dreams, hand in hand in holy metal bliss? Also yes.
Better Lovers spawned from the ashes of Every Time I Die (RIP in Peace) and has been on a mission to pummel any and everyone with a beautiful blend of TDEP-like mathcore and He Is Legend levels of southern rock swag. The video is a subtle nod to Little Shop Of Horrors and the song is described by lead singer Greg Puciato here.
“The title and lyrics are an obvious metaphor for realizing that we are all more than what we’re conditioned to believe, and acknowledging the collective ‘waking up’ moment that we all seem to be going through right now.”
You can see Better Lovers for yourself on May 12th at The Majestic in Madison.
