Pearl Jam has been teasing us for a while now with what Eddie Vedder called their “best work” and guitarist Mike McCready has said it’ll be a heavier guitar-driven rock album. The time for us to judge them on their words has arrived as Pearl Jam just released the title track for their new album called “Dark Matter.” The album itself will be out on April 19th, but check out this description from Billboard.
“The Rock Hall-inducted Seattle legends unleash “Dark Matter,” a muscular romp of power chords, in-your-face bass, drum fills, and a late solo that could cut a can in half.”
Producer Andrew Watt reportedly recorded the LP at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La studio in Malibu, California.

Pearl Jam will get a chance to road test their new tunes with a run of trans-Atlantic dates this summer, including a headline spot at BottleRock Festival in Napa Valley, CA, on May 25, and festival spots on the Iberian Peninsula in July.
