Ben Bruce is the guitarist and founding member of the metalcore juggernaut Asking Alexandria. Bruce has played on each of the band’s eight studio albums, and has been the primary songwriter since the group formed in 2006. In a statement shared on Asking Alexandria’s Instagram story earlier today (Jan. 19), the guitarist thanked fans for their “years of love and support” before explaining that “it’s time to dedicate my life to my family. On top of family medical situations, leaving my children means missing out on too many important moments in their lives.” The full statement is available below.
It is unknown whether this announcement will affect any of AA’s upcoming shows, including their stop at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on May 3rd for HOG Fest. We wish Ben and his family the absolute best.
