With a staggering 1,000+ spins throughout 2023, Avatar takes the top spot in what has been a monumental year for the group. “The Dirt I’m Buried In” would go on to be Avatar’s first No. 1 hit at Active Rock Radio, and the subsequent tour supporting Dance Devil Dance was their biggest yet. Avatar stopped through EPIC Event Center in Green Bay for two sold out shows this year, one in support of In This Moment, and the other as the headliner themselves. According to the band, the May 13th sold out show was the biggest headlining show Avatar had ever performed in North America at the time. Truly Avatar country in these parts. Before their May 13th headlining show, Avatar frontman Johannes treated us to a special acoustic performance of “The Dirt I’m Buried In”, which has now been viewed over 100,000 times across all platforms.
