On the latest episode of Cutter’s Rockcast it’s an old friend in Elias Soriano of the band Nonpoint and yes, when asked how he feels about the digital trends of the current music scene he compared them to the jeans in his closet.
“My feelings on it are about as connected as my feelings are now that jeans are going from skinny to baggy again. It’s like how many times have I seen jeans go from boot fit, to baggy, to torn, to not torn, to now torn but tight, and now baggy and torn to just baggy and baggy. I can either decide to like move with it and enjoy it, and go oh shit I still have all that stuff in my closet. I can whip it out again and enjoy it, that’s what I try to do with the delivery of the music.”
This conversation occurred while the band was on their tour bus heading out of Canada and on their way to Green Bay, WI to play the annual Christmas time show, The Extreme Razor Fan Bash at Epic Event Center in Green Bay. Elias will also join me all weekend on the radio show The Cutting Edge Countdown, where we’ll play a couple of new tunes from Nonpoint along with the top 21 rock songs from the past week.
Here are a couple of those new tunes from their Heartless E.P.
