Have you heard about all these orcas that have been attacking yachts of the rich? If not check this out! Truly inspirational stuff! To add a little cherry on top they apparently are teaching other whales and dolphins to do the same thing and some scientist believe it’s taking over the water mammal community with the help of peer pressure. Some 30 marine scientists have released a statement clarifying what is going on and are urging people to not retaliate.
“We urge the media and public to avoid projecting narratives on to these animals. In the absence of further evidence, people should not assume they understand the animals’ motivations.”
That’s all well and fine but orcas keep ramming boats near Portugal and the sailors there have tried to find ways to dissuade these giants from ‘playing socially’ with their boats. Apparently someone said playing heavy metal music scares them away so a few boats tried that. And much to the surprise of no one, music that makes humans want to smash things did nothing to stop the whales and may have encouraged it. THE POWER OF METAL!
That got me to thinking, if I were a whale, what songs would make me want to ram the hell out of some boats. So I made that playlist in case the wish I made on the shooting star comes true!
