Tool hasn’t released any new music since their last Milwaukee show four years ago, but that didn’t stop fans from showing up to Fiserv Forum Wednesday night. Tool SOLD OUT the 18,000 seat venue and delivered a sensational performance that consisted of a dozen songs over two hours. Even without new music, Tool were able to deliver a fresh new show by adding 8 songs to the Milwaukee set that were not included in the last 2019 performance.
There was a STRICT no phone policy at the show Wednesday night, so the only glimpse inside the action comes from our friend David at Concert Close Ups. Ever the visual spectacle, Tool’s performance had some trippy, nightmarish visuals according to Piet Levy from Milwaukee Journal Sentinal. Levy, who attended the show, writes about an “animation of a circle of six faces, all connected, melting in on itself, and hands with scalpels slicing the foreheads on wrinkled heads, revealing eyeballs underneath.” Woah…
Check out some KILLER photos from Concert Close Ups, as well as a video capturing Tool’s final song of the night, “Forty Six & 2”. Important to note, vocalist Maynard James Keenan gave permission to the crowd to film the last song. So, we’re not breaking any rules here.
