Bad Wolves are back at it with new music after announcing new album Die About It due out on November 3rd. According to the press release the album was influenced by everything from Meshuggah to The 1975 and they even collaborated with longtime friend Josh Gilbert, current bassist for Spiritbox and formally of As I Lay Dying. Drummer John Boecklin had this to say about the groups approach to writing this record.
“We definitely challenged ourselves to experiment, but we maintained a heavier edge. We spent a lot of time making sure these songs weren’t all the same, which was important to us. We tried to push the possibilities of what you can do with heavy music. This is as fresh of a start as you can get on your fourth album.”
Lead singer DL talked about the experimentation in this record and how the band works together.
“Nobody is against any idea in the studio. That’s the most beautiful thing about this. There’s no limitations. We went to the far ends of the really soft and the extreme. We made it a point to separate ourselves from the past and make this our own.”
The album Die About It will be released on November 3rd and we will have Bad Wolves in town on September 27th.
