It’s been two years since we’ve gotten new, original, written by human hands music from Daughtry. Today that changes! And if you’re worried that this song is going to be a ballad or some weak willed attempt at listen to this inside a bank rock let me assure you, this is not that.
Daughtry and I have spoken on a few separate times and we have bonded over a love of 90’s grunge, specifically Alice In Chains mighty album Dirt which he credits as a source of inspiration on his last record Dearly Beloved. When he was asked about this new track, Daughtry said this.
‘Artificial’ is about the potential nightmare that AI could become and the idea that everything and everyone could
eventually be replaced, essentially to perfection, and rendered obsolete. However, the heart and soul of humanity and the ability to feel love, sadness, and compassion can never be replaced. While there are plenty of applications where AI can improve our lives and assist in many areas of creativity, I feel it’s imperative that we find a way to protect our musicians, actors, writers, and all creative outlets from being destroyed.”
