Ice Nine Kills guitarist Dan Sugarman took to social media to announce that he is 100% cancer-free after undergoing surgery and treatment in recent months. Sugarman was diagnosed with a lump in his neck earlier this year and was forced to step down from the band to address his health. The lump turned out to be a thyroid-cancer-related mass that required surgery.
Sugarman will be coming back into the band in the coming months and will be able to perform when the band opens for Metallica in 2024.
On May 12th, Sugarman shared a photo of the tumor that was removed from his neck that measured 6 INCHES! What?!
Sugarman announced his tumor and his stepping down in an Instagram post on April 27th which you can watch below.
